UseableArt : Information + Design

Bio Digital Human [Information Design]

Sure, we’ve seen it all before. Google tried it, did a pretty good job, and then it disappeared. Medical texts tried it, but forced you to Xerox any anatomical bits and pieces you might have been interested in. Hell, even Leonardo tried it. But there’s only so much a fellow can do with parchment in this digital age. No judgements there, believe me.

And then there’s Google. As if their burgeoning empire wasn’t enough, they keep adding, and adding, and adding functionality… Which, I suppose, is one of their many keys to success. Take the BioDigital Human they’re featuring as part of the “apps” section of their nifty Chrome browser.

Aside from any artists who may find its visualizations useful, it’s just downright cool. Go. Play. And enjoy.
