UseableArt : Information + Design

Guitars as Usable Art [industrial design]

Whether you play or you don’t, whether you’re an acoustic or electric aficionado (or both), guitars are one of the first things that come to mind when thinking usable art. From Eddie Van Halen’s home-painted, red and white striped Kramers to the exotic woods and finishes of Gibson’s Les Paul line… Art. And countless museum curators around the world will back me up.

Electric Guitars

Fat, thin, cheap, expensive, painted, natural, usable controls or far out layouts… Each has a fingerprint, a shape, and a heritage, whether its a knock-off or a vintage original. Enjoy.
