Brilliant Advertisements, Part V: DirecTV [video]

Not all of their ads are this funny. For that matter, not all ads, period, are this funny. But this one… Brilliant. Once again, it follows my cardinal rule for commercials: entertain your audience, or they’ll use their commercial breaks, and your hard-won air time, to use the bathroom, do the dishes, take out the trash… Whatever.

Look closely and you’ll find such hidden treats as dogs playing poker, and an image of the Russian billionaire and the star players from his own personal soccer team. Roman Abromovich, eat your heart out 😉

Opulence. I has it.

Enjoy. And entertain me, please. Otherwise I’m taking out the trash while networks raise the volume levels to offensive levels during commercial breaks… Because they know I’m not the only one taking out the trash or fast-forwarding through the usual commercial schlock 😉
